As a career human resources leader and recently retired from federal and military service, I am beginning my next career in something that I am passionate about — HR work for nonprofit organizations, and my love for conservation efforts.
Lifelong animal lover and advocate, I have worked at a veterinarian clinic, volunteered at shelters, and at a horse rehabilitation center. I recently received my Master Naturalist certification with Bernalillo County, and I also volunteer for my kids' activities and at my church, and occasionally substitute teach to support Albuquerque Public Schools.
A pregnant kitty found me, and I wanted to help the rescue organization that helped me, who was new to fostering, care for my kitty and her kittens. Getting Cat Tails and Puppy Paws off to a solid start is important to me.
I have a husband, three busy teenagers, three cats, one dog, and a bearded dragon. I love all kinds of critters and wildlife, so I work hard to advocate for a healthy environment in which they can thrive.
